FOUNDATION OF THE RES LAB OF THE TAN COU OF THE USA AT THE U OF CIN
Our History
The Foundation of the Research Laboratory of the Tanners Council of the United States of America at the University of Cincinnati, Inc. was originally incorporated by the Tanners' Council in 1927. Sometimes it is referred to as the Tanners' Council Foundation.
In 1986, the incorporation documents were amended to make clear that the 501(c)(3) will be operated, supervised, and controlled by the Leather Industries of America, the successor organization to the Leather & Hide Council of America.
In 2020, the Leather Industries of America and the US Hide, Skin and Leather Association merged to form the Leather & Hide Council of America. The FOUNDATION OF THE RES LAB OF THE TAN COU OF THE USA AT THE U OF CIN is now managed by the Leather & Hide Council of America.

Research is performed through an almost 100 year relationship with the University of Cincinnati. More information can be found below by following the links under the Leather Research Laboratory.

Our Management Team
Under the 1986 amendment to articles of incorporation, the Leather & Hide Council of America (L&HCA) operates, supervises, and controls the the FOUNDATION OF THE RES LAB OF THE TAN COU OF THE USA AT THE U OF CIN.
